When the Gophers played a Mike Leach-coached team in a bowl game a decade ago, they quickly dumped head coach Glen Mason and wound up with Tim Brewster. I'm not saying that's a reason to keep Tracy Claeys after this go-round against Leach (a win instead of a loss, by the way), but it is a reminder that the coaching grass is not always greener.
The Wolves have given away a lot of games to beatable opponents this season. If they are going to start digging out of this hole, that will clearly need to change. Wolves at 76ers, 6 p.m., FSN.
