We're not going overboard on this thing yet. It could turn into a big fizzle.It still appears that any storm that comes up through the Carolinas andVirginia on Tuesday will remain weak. That means much of the Northeast wouldexperience the passage of only a cold front. Just that would produce some rainor snow depending on where you live. Closer to the coast, there would be rainobvious while from western Pennsylvania to upstate New York it could snow.

Nevertheless, if it's just the front coming through, precipitation amountswould be light.

We'll keep an eye on this situation, though. If a connection were made betweenthe advancing cold air and the storm, things could get more interesting.
