Today's trophy tales

Julie Morin, above, caught this 25-inch walleye on Lake Mille Lacs in late July. She caught the fish while trolling using a Lindy rig with a float and leech.

GHOST FISH

Perry Peterson, of Scottsdale, Ariz., said he and Paul Jensen of White Bear Lake had "seen this muskie on six different occasions over a three-year period. It finally made a mistake and we were able to catch the 41-inch muskie in Lake of the Woods, photo and release. Finally, I have proof of the 'Ghost Fish' to back up my fishing story!"

FUN FLY CATCH

(Brian Stensaas/The Minnesota Star Tribune)

Keith Dunder, of Golden Valley, was fly fishing for smallmouth bass on the Mississippi River near Monticello, when he caught a river redhorse, estimated to be 22-24 inches, on a streamer.
