Fishing out of Sheboygan, Wis., Bowers had just started trolling when she hooked her first-ever Lake Michigan fish.
Aira Cefre, of Plymouth, caught this 34- inch northern after 10 minutes of trolling on Lake Ann in Chanhassen on July 17. The fish was released.
Amy Bowatz, of Alexandria, Minn., caught this 51-inch muskie on Pelican Lake (near Detroit Lakes) on July 7. The fish was released.
