Ruth O’Neill of Minnetonka caught this walleye on a recent outing on Rainy Lake. “He hit the line hard, then stayed stone-still for a minute or two, so no one took me seriously when I said, ‘Get the net,’ ” O’Neill said. “My dog George [first time fishing for him!] was mesmerized by this walleye that measured just shy of 25 inches. We let the two of them touch noses before we let this lunker go.”
