10-year old Michael Offord, of Coon Rapids, caught this 27-inch walleye on Borden Lake (near Garrison) last week. He kept reeling until his grandfather, Brad Miller, of Maple Grove, was able to net it.

First cast, first pike

Fishing for bass from her family's dock on Lake Minnetonka, Brooke Batker caught her first northern (about 25 inches) on her first cast using a lightweight rod with a texas-rig plastic worm.
