Nate Triplett is no longer looking for work in the NFL.

The former Gophers linebacker has been signed to the San Diego Chargers practice squad, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Triplett was drafted in the fifth round of the draft last April by the Vikings but did not make the 53-man roster.

Triplett's best chance to make the roster would have been as a special-teams contributor but the Vikings already were strong in that area.

The Chargers placed linebacker Kion Wilson on their 53-man roster because they have been shorthanded at the position due to injuries.

Meanwhile, ESPN is reporting the Chicago Bears have released defensive end Mark Anderson and signed former New Orleans Saints end Charles Grant.
