Tre Jones broke Apple Valley’s single-game scoring record by dropping in 48 points in a 75-57 victory over Rosemount in boys’ basketball Friday night.

Jones was 19-for-25 from the field, including 5-for-7 from three-point range, and 5-for-6 from the line. He also had six rebounds and four assists. Ely Hendrickson added nine points, and Luke Martens finished with eight points and nine rebounds. The Eagles, ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, remain undefeated in the South Suburban Conference at 12-0. Luke Loehr led the Irish with 29 points.

Lakeville North 85, Prior Lake 70: Nathan Reuvers scored 27 points and Ethan Igbanugo added 22 as the Class 4A, No. 4 Panthers ran past the visiting Lakers by scoring 54 points in the second half. The Lakers had five players score in double figures, led by Alex Preston with 16.

Wayzata 75, Eden Prairie 62: Gavin Baumgartner scored 25 points to lead the Class 4A, No. 5 Trojans past the No. 8 Eagles. Ryan Lindberg added 17 points. Wayzata put up 52 second-half points to erase a five-point halftime deficit. Drake Dobbs led Eden Prairie with 21 points.

Hopkins 85, Edina 78: Ishmael El-Amin and Simon Wright scored 21 points apiece as the Class 4A, No. 6 Royals defeated the visiting Hornets. The Hornets’ Walt McGrory finished with 33 points.

Girls’ basketball

Shakopee 60, Eastview 57: Isabell West scored 17 points to lead the unranked Sabers to an upset of the Class 4A, No. 4 Lightning. Mateya Hutton added 15 points and Brittany West had 14. Rachel Ranke led the Lightning with 16 points.

Hopkins 73, Edina 52: Raena Suggs scored 25 points and Angie Hammond added 19 as the Royals, the No. 1 team in Class 4A, handled the Hornets on the road. The win moves the Royals to 23-0. Macy Nilsen led the Hornets with 18 points.

Lakeville North 75, Prior Lake 62: The Class 4A, No. 3 Panthers took a 13-point lead into halftime and cruised past the host Lakers. Temi Carda led the Panthers with 18 points and Olivia Bruce had 17. The Lakers’ McKenna Hofschild led all scorers with 24 points.
