Trader Joe's says no to Excelsior store

Trader Joe's has put the kibosh on a long rumored store in Excelsior.

Citing unnamed sources, the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal said the deal for an anchor grocery store in a new development at the former Mason Motors site in downtown Excelsior is dead.

Plans for a Trader Joe's in Shoreview, however, are proceeding even though a lease has yet to be signed, the Business Journal reported.
