Geek squad

With the reboot of "Ghostbusters" slipping into theaters this weekend, it's a good time to get a blast of the original slime. While the first two films are generally regarded as a boys' club, you can't completely overlook turns from Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts. Also, give the 1989 sequel another chance; it's not nearly as bad as Bill Murray claims it is.

Dungeon master

"Community" creator Dan Harmon apparently prefers cartoon characters to human beings these days (a tour of duty with Chevy Chase will do that to you), which explains why he's following up "Rick and Morty" with "Harmonquest," a largely animated series that pays tribute to the disciples of "Dungeons & Dragons" and other role-playing games. Aubrey Plaza and Paul F. Tompkins are among the die throwers.

Went down swingin'

"Knocked Up" director Judd Apatow, Jon Stewart and Bill Maher all contribute to the sports documentary "Doc & Darryl," but there wasn't a lot of humor behind the reasons Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry broke the hearts of Mets fans in the mid-'80s. The two chat in a diner, where they order a heavy helping of humble pie.
