Will Smith, overlooked by the Oscars for his work in "Concussion," gets the Generation Award during the "25th Annual MTV Movie Awards," hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. Past recipients include Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Sandra Bullock and Reese Witherspoon. The honor will be presented by the alien Smith knocked out in "Independence Day," providing it can get through ballroom security.

Vadnais Heights' Andrea Nisler is out to prove Minnesota Nice can also be Minnesota Tough as she joins the competition during a new episode of "Steve Austin's Broken Skull Challenge." Sure, the obstacle course on Austin's ranch is a monster, but if the host really wants to test his guests' mettle, he should make them sit through his last straight-to-video dud, "Chain of Command."

Dead again

"The Walking Dead" may be on summer vacation, but zombies never rest. "Fear the Walking Dead," the megahit's L.A.-based sister act, returns with a full season, although only seven episodes will air before it takes a break of its own, leaving just enough room on the schedule for my pitch, "The Woking Dead," the ultimate Iron Chef contest.
