Salute, Sophia -- Beauty. . .Mediterranean warmth and grace. . .superb acting talent. Add them all together and you can only get Sophia Loren, Oscar-winning performer and quinessential Italian woman. She'll be in the spotlight again this fall, this time at a gala "Salute to Italy" event, starting September 16 in over 500 JCPenney stores. Miss Loren will help kick off the event with appearances in stores and in national print advertising.

All in the family

Robert Osborne cedes the role of interviewer to Edoardo Ponti during "Live From TCM Classic Film Festival: Sophia Loren," which should be interesting. Ponti is the Oscar-winning actress' son and directed her in 2014's "Human Voice," which will air after the one-hour special.

Hamburglar!

I can understand "Carnival Eats" host Noah Cappe noshing on a cowboy burrito at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, but a Juicy Lucy? And spelled with the forbidden "i" to boot? Shame on Noah, and the Texan concession stand that is stealing our identity. One more slip like this and Minnesotans will start claiming the Alamo.

Served fresh

Eddie Huang, best known for his memoir "Fresh Off the Boat," could rival Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern as TV's most engaging food ambassador. He just needs to maintain the level of spice sprinkled throughout the premiere of "Huang's World," the most promising of the new point-of-view series on the fledging Viceland channel. In the premiere episode, also available at viceland.com, the host takes us on a tour of Orlando. More appetizing than you would think.
