Mary Jane Drews named Director of External Affairs at Minneapolis Institute of Arts

Mary Jane Drews has been named Director of External Affairs at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. She moved to Minnesota from Illionis where she was Vice President of Development at the Art Institute of Chicago since 2006.
At the Chicago museum she headed a $412 million campaign that included a new wing for modern and contermporary art and a bridge to Millennium Park, a popular public garden north of the museum on Michigan Av. Before that she was director of development at the Ravinia (music) Festival in Highland Park, Ill. and at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.
Drews, who began work at the Institute on June 20, holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in communications from Indiana University in Bloomington.
