Toothpaste can:
Stop itching. Relieve irritations from bug bites, sores and blisters by applying a dab to stop itching and to decrease any swelling.
Soothe minor burns. Be sure that they don't involve an open wound. Apply delicately to the affected area immediately.
Clean fingernails. Our nails and teeth are made up of enamel, and toothpaste is great for enamel. Scrub nails with a toothbrush and toothpaste for shinier and stronger nails.
Remove odors. Scrub your hands and fingertips briefly with toothpaste to eliminate smells such as garlic, fish or onion.
Remove stains. Apply toothpaste directly to clothing and rub briskly until the stain is gone, then wash as usual. Be careful when using whitening toothpaste, however, because it can bleach clothes. For carpet stains, apply to the stain, scrub with an abrasive brush, then rinse immediately.
Spruce up shoes. Apply toothpaste directly to dirty or scuffed areas on shoes, scrub and wipe clean.
Remove crayon stains. Rub a damp cloth with toothpaste gently on the marks on painted walls.
