It's old hat to Minneapolis theatergoers, but New Yorkers are just now being exposed to playwright Tony Kushner's newest drama, "The Intelligent Homsexual's Guide to Capitalism & Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures."
The play, premiered at the Guthrie in 2009, is running in previews at the Public Theater in New York, where it is skedded to play through June 12.Â
To hear an interview about the play, its development and themes, go here. It's from the Leonard Lopate show on WNYC, and features Kushner and actor Linda Emond, pictured, who played the role of Empty in Minneapolis and is playing her again in the New York production.
