Today's when most fish houses get the hook

March 2, 2009 at 10:33PM

Never mind the frigid start to the week: Today is the day that Minnesota ice anglers in the southern part of the state must have their fish houses off the lakes.

That's a day later than originally printed in the 2008 Fishing Regulations handbook.

The deadline for shelter removal in the northern part of the state, March 16, remains the same.

There is one other important change. Fish houses statewide can be on the ice between midnight and an hour before sunrise when occupied or attended after the March 2 and March 16 deadlines. For more information, visit www.mndnr.gov.
