(As told by her dad, Scott Rudeen; shown with her grandfather, Al Rudeen)

Lily was fishing with me and her grandpa, Al Rudeen of Roseville, using a minnow on a pink jig (yes, pink!) Within five minutes, Lily got a huge bite, set the hook just like grandpa showed her and the fight was on! As I coached her on how to adjust her drag, grandpa scrambled for the net. At one point, the bass jumped out of the water, and Lily screamed, "I got a big one!" She landed her jumbo bass like a pro! She went on to catch several more fish that day, outfishing me and my dad. We were so proud of her!

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
