DISPUTED TITLES FOR THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION

Titles assigned by the Legislature:

Marriage: "Recognition of marriage solely between one man and one woman."

Elections: "Photo identification required for voting."

TITLES ASSIGNED BY SECRETARY OF STATE MARK RITCHIE:

Marriage: "Limiting the status of marriage to opposite sex couples."

Elections: "Changes to in-person & absentee voting & voter registration; provisional ballots."

WHAT'S NEXT:

The state Supreme Court will decide which titles will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot.
