Tips sought in fatal bicycle incident in Vadnais Heights

October 10, 2015 at 9:06PM

Authorities are seeking the public's help in the investigation of a fatal bicycle incident in the middle of the day in Vadnais Heights earlier this month.

Robert Prudhomme, 57, of Cottage Grove, was found critically injured in the 4200 block of Centerville Road about 1:20 p.m. on Oct. 2. He was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he died a week later without being able to give investigators any information about the incident.

Doctors indicated that Prudhomme's injuries might not be consistent with an isolated bicycle accident.

Ramsey County Sheriff's deputies are seeking witnesses, anyone who stopped to render aid or any person who might have details about the incident.

Investigators said a gray or silver GMC SUV, believed to be occupied by a couple in their late 50s or early 60s, was last seen in the vicinity of the bicyclist.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office Investigations Unit at 651-266-7320.
