A slightly edited news release from the U of M:
Tickets for Minnesota's men's hockey game against Wisconsin at the Target Center on Fri., March 5 are now available through Ticketmaster. That is the first game of two on the last weekend of the regular season. The second game is Sunday at Mariucci.
Why the weird schedule? A synchronized skating meet has booked Mariucci most of that week, through Saturday.
Fans can purchase tickets for the Target Center game at ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Tickets, which cost $25 or $35 each, are also available at the Target Center box office. The Gophers and Badgers will face off at 7 p.m. on March 5 in the first college hockey game played at the Target Center since the 2000 WCHA Final Five. Remember 2000? I do. (Just kidding.) 2000 results: Play-in game: Gophers 6, Minnesota State Mankato 4 Semifinals: North Dakota 7, St. Cloud State 3 Wisconsin 5, Gophers 3 Third place: St. Cloud State 6, Gophers 4 Championship: St. Cloud State 6, North Dakota 5, ot No Gophers made the all-tournament team. Attendance: 49,717. Minnesota and Wisconsin played regular season games at the Target Center five straight years from 1994-98 with the Gophers winning all five of those games. So the U of M is 5-1 vs. Wisconsin at TC. Hear plenty of tickets are still available.
