MINNEAPOLIS — Tickets are now on sale for the 2013 Ivey Awards celebrating the best of Twin Cities professional theater.

The ninth annual Iveys will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Historic State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.

Actor and director Randy Reyes will join actress Shanan Custer to co-host this year's awards show.

The Iveys began in 2004. Volunteers evaluate Twin Cities theatrical productions over the past year, and the public also can weigh in.

The awards program is open to the public. Tickets range from $35 to $125 and are available online, at the State Theatre box office and Ticketmaster outlets.

The Iveys take their name from the Ivey, a Minneapolis restaurant in the 1900s that was popular with performers and theatergoers.
