Tickets go on sale for Final Five on Monday

Who knows if the Gophers will be there -- they are mired in ninth-place in the WCHA standings right now -- but tickets for the Final Five in mid-March are going on sale on Monday.

Tournament tickets packages for the Final Five which will be held March 18-20 at Xcel Energy Center, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday. Five-game ticket packages are $160 and $75 and can be purchased at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, Ticketmaster locations, charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. To charge by phone using Ticketmaster TDD/TTY, call 800-359-2525. Groups (12+) call 651-312-3486.

College hockey fans will once again have the opportunity to get in on the tournament action with the return of the "Pick Your FInal Five Sweepstakes." Fans that enter will have a chance to win a prize of four ticket packages to the 2011 Red Baron WCHA Final Five.

Here's how the sweepstakes works:

  • Guess how many total goals will be scored during the 2010 Red Baron WCHA Final Five. Visit http://www.xcelenergycenter.com/arena/WCHAPickYourFinalFive.jsp starting at 12:01 a.m. CT on Monday, Dec. 7. Choose the five (5) WCHA teams you predict will make it to the 2010 Red Baron WCHA Final Five. Choose the two (2) teams you predict will make the Championship game. Choose the 2010 Red Baron WCHA Championship winning team. WCHA NOTES
    • If the first-round of the WCHA playoffs were being held this weekend based on what has happened so far, this is what the pairings would be -- if I figured out the tie-breakers correctly:
