Steven Crowl came up big, twice, when it mattered most to lead Eastview over Lakeville South 70-68 in overtime on Thursday night in boys' basketball.

The junior hit a three-pointer with 8.6 seconds left to put the Lightning ahead for good. Before that, Crowl forced overtime with a block, leaving half a second left on the clock. He finished with 36 points.

Reid Patterson led the Cougars with 20 points. Joe Bachinski added 17.

Ryan Thissen supported Crowl's effort with 14 points.

Eastview (8-4) will play at Prior Lake, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, on Tuesday. Lakeville South (4-7) will host Farmington the same night.

Lakeville North 74, Apple Valley 61: Tyler Wahl scored 19 points to lead the Class 4A, No. 7 Panthers. He also had 10 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals. Eli Mostaert and Tate Staloch added 11 points each. Mark Possis had 19 to lead the Eagles.

Shakopee 74, Farmington 60: Will Cordes and Charles Katona led the Sabers with 21 and 19 points, respectively. Jameson Shrum had a game-high 22 for the Tigers.

Eden Valley-Watkins 63, Maple Lake 56: Mitch Hoistad scored his 1,000th career point in the first half for the Irish. He finished with a game-high 31. Joshua Streit scored 27 to lead the Eagles to victory.

Girls' basketball

Park Center 73, Totino-Grace 45: Adalia McKenzie scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Pirates over the Eagles. This is the sophomore's fifth game with more than 30 points. She is averaging 26.2 points per game, which is the 10th-best average in the state. Aaliyah Ragulen added 21 for Park Center. Arianna LaPanta scored 15 to lead Totino-Grace.

Boys' hockey

Providence Academy 3, St. Paul Academy 2: The Lions got off to a quick start scoring two goals in the first 49 seconds. Evan Spadafora had the first goal, followed by Joshua Mogeni on a power play. The Spartans tied the score on second-period goals by Michael Bagnoli and Duncan Fleming. Spadafora scored the go-ahead goal eight seconds into the final frame. Joshua Koskie made 42 saves for Providence Academy.

Buffalo 4, St. Michael-Albertville 3 (OT): Jake Braccini scored the game-winning goal for the Bison with less than two minutes remaining in the extra frame. He also assisted on Ryan Nelson's game-tying goal.

Champlin Park 5, Armstrong/Cooper 2: Derek Roberts scored a hat trick to lead the Rebels past the AC Wings. Jack Bergstrom and Noah Vizenor also scored for Champlin Park.

Girls' hockey

Woodbury 1, Irondale 0: Anna Julius earned the shutout with 23 saves for the Royals. Elizabeth Lange scored the game's lone goal on a power play with Maya Struve and Amelia Karelitz getting the assists.

Lakeville South 3, Eastview 2 (OT): Taylor Otremba scored the game-winning goal for the Cougars. The Lightning forced overtime on Avery Chesek's goal 36 seconds into the third period. Iona Welsch and Liberty Fettig also scored for Lakeville South. The Cougars outshot Eastview 40-21.
