Randolph earns 500th win • DULUTH EAST 5, CLOQUET/ESKO/CARLTON 2: Greyhounds coach Mike Randolph earned his 500th career victory by beating the Lumberjacks on Thursday. A quick goal by Hogan Davidson put Class 2A, No. 6 Duluth East on top of 2A, No. 16 Cloquet/Esko/Carlton. Cloquet's Drew Dincau tied the game, but the Greyhounds took control in the third. A late goal from Ryan Lundgren sealed the victory. Davidson finished with a hat trick.
• MINNETONKA 4, MAPLE GROVE 3 (OT): The host Crimson knew knocking off Class 2A, No. 3 Minnetonka would be a tall order. Maple Grove's first shot of the game found the net, but Minnetonka's Tommy Vannelli scored a few minutes later to even the score, and Max Coatta's power-play goal in the second period gave the Skippers the lead. The Crimson retook the lead thanks to two late-third period goals. Maple Grove came up with a penalty kill late in the game, but the Skippers slipped in a game-tying goal with 24 seconds left to force overtime, where Justin Bader quickly stifled the upset bid. The Crimson gave undefeated Minnetonka its biggest scare of the season. Maple Grove fell to 2-4.
• LAKEVILLE NORTH 4, EDEN PRAIRIE 3: Lakeville North jumped out to an early lead over Class 2A, No. 9 Eden Prairie behind goals from Jack Poehling and Tristen Hazlett, but a late power-play goal from Eden Prairie's Andrew Knudsen kept things interesting. The Panthers held on for the victory, though, their fourth of the year. Eden Prairie fell to 3-2.
• TARTAN 7, SIMLEY 0: It took Tartan's Jake Jackson only 26 seconds to double his goal total this season. Jackson found the net early and often against Simley, scoring four times to push his team to 6-0 on the season. The Titans have shut out four of their first six opponents.

Minnetonka survives scare • MINNETONKA 3, ANDOVER 1: Class 2A, No. 1 Minnetonka has been on the favorable end of several lopsided results this year but was given a scare against Andover. The Skippers pushed their lead to two late in the third period before Andover's Abbie Turpin scored on a power play. Minnetonka's Diana Draayer scored on a shorthanded goal in the game's final minute to restore the Skippers' two-goal advantage. Andover goaltender Maddie Rooney stopped 45 of 48 shots, but her efforts weren't enough to keep the Huskies from falling to 9-4.
• EDEN PRAIRIE 4, BLAKE 3: Class 2A, No. 5 Eden Prairie never trailed against Class 1A, No. 3 Blake. Angie Heppelmann scored twice for the Eagles, including a goal in the third period that provided the winning margin. McKenzie Johnson stopped 21 shots for the Eagles.
• MINNEAPOLIS 1, TOTINO-GRACE 1 (OT): Totino-Grace's Maddy Javorina found the net with only 29 seconds left in regulation to tie the score, after Maggie Horstman scored early in the third period for Minneapolis. The game was a defensive showdown between talented goaltenders, as Kellie Winchell had 23 saves for Minneapolis and Logan Knip stopped 26 shots for Totino-Grace.
• LAKEVILLE SOUTH 3, EAGAN 2: Class 2A, No. 11 Lakeville South relied on late heroics at Hasse Arena to defeat the Wildcats. Emily Goff and Brooke Madsen gave Eagan (6-4) a lead early in the second period, but the Cougars evened the score midway through the final period. Lakeville South's Callen Naasz scored a shorthanded goal with 56 seconds left. Both Eagan's Sophia Lundquist and Lakeville South's Chloe Crosby had 18 saves in the game.
