Thursday's boys' section hockey roundup

Jimmy Clark scored with 2 minutes, 36 seconds left in overtime to complete his hat trick and give fourth-seeded Edina a 5-4 victory over fifth-seeded Wayzata in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A, Section 6 boys' hockey tournament at Braemar Arena.

Clark also scored in the first period for the defending state champions and sent the game to overtime with another goal with seven minutes left in the third.

The Trojans rallied with three straight goals to take a 4-3 lead early in the third period on Jake Schneider's goal.

Also in Section 6, Jack Nei scored three goals in the second period to lead Cretin-Derham Hall past St. Louis Park 6-3 at Highland Arena.

In other section quarterfinal games in Class 2A:

Section 2

Eden Prairie scored three goals in an 8:25 span in the third period to pull away in a 4-1 quarterfinal victory over Shakopee. Jackson Blake scored two goals for the Eagles.

Section 3

Derek Manzella stopped 23 shots to lead Eagan past Bloomington Jefferson 1-0 at Eagan Civic Arena. Dylan Wedward scored 9:42 into the game.

St. Thomas Academy scored three goals in the third period to pull away from Eastview 5-0. Will Soderling scored the first goal.
