Wayzata's lakeside homage to Nantucket now has a handsome Galleria outpost, an ideal spot for taking in lunch, dinner or weekend brunch during the Galleria's (free) "Spring Is in the Air/Florals by Bachman's" flower-fest, running through April 8. The menu emphasizes fresh oysters, a terrific crab cake, a classic lobster roll, clam chowder and cioppino, plus non-seafood items such as rotisserie chicken and well-topped flatbreads.

Barnes & Noble Kitchen

No, this isn't one of those featureless Starbucks-driven counter cafes that the bookseller features in many of its stores. Instead, the chain has chosen its spiffily remade Galleria outpost as a test site for one of its honest-to-goodness restaurants. Expect to encounter uncomplicated fare that ranges from a category-killing cheeseburger and a beauty of an avocado toast to well-tossed kale salads and a comfort-minded grilled cheese sandwich-tomato soup combo.

Big Bowl

This mini-chain excels by keeping it fresh, a commitment that is apparent in every plate. The wide-ranging menu is peppered with well-executed versions of familiar Thai and Chinese favorites. Got a cold? Let the hot-and-sour soup (or the fiery curry dishes) soothe what ails you. A great value is the build-your-own stir fry bar; you choose the contents, the kitchen does the cooking. There are plenty of gluten-free options, too. Full bar.
