Three common threads

With "Tapestries 4.0," the Karen L. Charles Threads Dance Project presents new works by three exiting young Twin Cities choreographers. That includes Leila Awadallah, whose captivating installation performance "My Garden Is a Security Threat" was seen at Walker Art Center last year. It includes Deja Stowers, founder of the unflinching Blaq dance company. Finally, Threads company member Julie Marie Muskat marks her second "Tapestries" commission. Also featured are two works by Threads founder Karen L. Charles including "Pariah," a trio that explores feeling like an outcast. (7:30 p.m. Fri. and Sat., 2 p.m. Sun., JSB Tekbox, 528 Hennepin Av. S., #215, Mpls., $22 and $25, 612-206-3600, thecowlescenter.org.)
