No Coast Craft-o-Rama

A staple of the local indie craft scene, the No Coast Craft-o-Rama has been helping to make crafting cool since 2005. Since then, it has expanded to become a can't-miss event for just about anyone interested in shopping local for the holidays. You'll find an expansive selection of handmade jewelry, organic beauty products, plush creatures and rock-show print art.

WAMarchy

The Weisman Art Museum is closing its doors for a year to add five new galleries and 8,100 square feet, but it's not going out without a bang. For one night, the museum will transform into a scene conjuring the best studio party you've been to in Northeast, and is sure to spark memories of the Walker's 2004 pre-renovation all-night bash. The night includes live punk from Off With Their Heads and the God Damn Doo Wop Band; a participatory graffiti wall led by artists Rogue Citizen, Claire Monet, Biafra, Metrik!, Hellmouth and Erin Sayer; a Weisman-inspired art projection by Clement Shimizu; plus free appetizers from D'Amico, a wine tasting, free Surly Beer (while supplies last) and a cash bar. Best of all, it's a chance to do things you can't normally do in a museum: paint on the walls, hang your own art in the museum (thanks to the "Art Creation Station") and even drink red wine in the galleries.
