As a contestant on "Project Runway," Mondo Guerra never shied away from making a statement. The season-eight runner-up (and fan favorite) who counts Pee-wee Herman as a style influence will be in town Saturday for a style-off at Macy's Rosedale. Contestants will be selected from the audience to put together head-to-toe looks, which will then be judged by the quip-loving designer for the chance to take home a $100 Macy's gift card. Opera can seem like a big, scary pastime for the rich and old. But combine it with copious amounts of wine, and you've got a rollicking good time. Costumed singers will gamely intermingle with the crowd and perform cadenzas, cabalettas and arias from Puccini's "Madame Butterfly," Mozart's "Così ran tutte" and other classic operas.

The Science Museum of Minnesota's new adult series, Social Science, proves the museum isn't just for kids.
