This weekend: April Showers Bring Bitch Flowers and Big Back Yard
Thanks to the success of the drag reality show "RuPaul's Drag Race," the art of drag is getting more and more mainstream exposure. But the lady boys of the local scene have been at it for decades. One such local legend, Bitch Flowers, is behind this annual variety show. The show features comedy and performances from Ms. Flowers, Krystal Kleer, Camille Collins, Polly and the Hot Buttered Crackers and Esme Rodriguez, plus live music from Harley Wood and Wrecked Wheelhouse and a dance-party finale spun by DJ Shiek. In a stylish twist, this year's edition ups the glam factor with fashions by Emma Berg, Raul Osorio, Ivan Idland and Lollycopter. It's sure to be a night of campy fun. More event details.
