LPGA TOUR

What: Kraft Nabisco Championship in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Schedule (TV): Thursday-Sunday (Golf Channel every day).

Course: Mission Hills Country Club, Dinah Shore Tournament Course (6,738 yards, par 72).

Purse: $2 million (winner's share $300,000).

Defending champion: Inbee Park.

Notes

PGA: Phil Mickelson hoped to play after withdrawing from the Texas Open in the third round because of a pulled muscle in his right side. ... Rory McIlroy is in the field along with 2012 winner Hunter Mahan, Jimmy Walker, Jordan Spieth, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, Steve Stricker and Ernie Els. Walker leads the tour with three victories. Stricker is making his third start of the season.

LPGA: The event, first played in 1972 as the Colgate Dinah Shore, became a major championshp in 1983.
