Sibley State Park, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday

Bring your app-loading device to learn some easy 1-2-3's of birding with a phone in your pocket. Meet in the interpretive center theater. Devices aren't necessary. Simply learn some easy birding steps. Snack and coffee at 9 a.m. (320-354-2055, mndnr.gov)

Cleary Lake Regional Park, 9-11 a.m. Saturday

Head to Prior Lake and learn the basics of shooting safely and accurately with skilled instructors. Shoot at stationary targets and compete in fun shooting games. Equipment provided. Cost is $10, and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity 244545-02. There is a 20-percent discount for groups of four or more. St. Croix State Park, Saturday and Sunday

Nerstrand Big Woods State Park, Saturday and Sunday

Archery in the park

Afton State Park, 9:30 a.m.-noon Saturday

Hands-on instruction with equipment designed for beginners ages 8 and older. Children age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Personal archery equipment is not allowed. (651-231-6968, mndnr.gov)

Hyland Lake Park Reserve, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning June 1

Enjoy three months of instructor-led activities, including Nordic walking, yoga, canoeing, archery, geocaching and more. Yoga sessions every other week have the added ambience of fire, essential oils and/or candles. Whatever your fitness or experience level, try getting fit outdoors. With three times a week, attend all or some. We provide the instructors and equipment. Cost is $95, and reservations are required.
