Theft of photos with ballplayer draws guilty plea

A 20-year-old Apple Valley woman has pleaded guilty to breaking into a model's e-mail account and stealing racy photos of the woman's boyfriend, Cleveland Indians baseball player Grady Sizemore, then posting them on the Internet.

Leah Michelle Ayers had her sentence stayed and was placed on two years' probation in Dakota County District Court. She has been ordered to have no contact with Sizemore or his girlfriend, Brittany Binger.

Ayers, who was charged by the city of Apple Valley with unauthorized computer access, a gross misdemeanor, also must serve six days on a work crew in the next two years and pay fines and court costs of about $1,000, said Christine Cassellius, who represented the Apple Valley city attorney's office.

Sizemore's revealing photos appeared on the Internet in August 2009. Someone accessed Binger's e-mail account four times that month to steal the photos.
