'Disney's Beauty and the Beast'

Opens Tuesday: It's a story of power and love, of beauty that can refine a coarse man. As an animated movie and a Broadway show, "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" has proved irresistible; 17 million ticket buyers have seen the tour over the past 20 years. Some will no doubt go again to see Belle's love turn a hairy ogre back into a handsome prince. This 20th anniversary production features songs by composer Alan Menken as well as several members of the original creative team, including director Rob Roth. Starring Jillian Butterfield and Ryan Everett Wood. (7:30 p.m. Tue.-Thu.; 8 p.m. Fri.; 2 & 8 p.m. Sat.; 1 & 6:30 p.m. next Sun. $39-$134. Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 1-800-859-7469, www.hennepintheatretrust.org.)
