The word of the week is bragtag: Pride goeth before the bumper sticker

July 4, 2017 at 3:00PM

Definition: "A bumper sticker or a magnet with a proud or boastful message." (Merriam-Webster online)

Sample usage: "If your kids really are honor students, I bet they're smart enough not to be driving around with a bragtag that says: My parents always drive 10 miles per hour below the speed limit in the fast lane."

Popularity: It's pithy and accurate. No one cares about your family's accomplishments, but it's nice that you're proud.
