Are you ready for this? Certainly, it's been along time coming. So far, the Midwest and East have had a cold, stormy winter, and record snowfall has piled up across southern New England.

The pattern will change dramatically next week, however. Actually, the warmup will get started across the Central states where 50s and 60s will become widespread this weekend. The much milder air will be felt across the Midwest starting next Tuesday. The Northeast will get to enjoy the full benefit of the thaw next Wednesday and Thursday.
