Fierce NW winds opened the ice up.

The pic is taken daily via satellite. Cloudy days we loose the view. This pic was taken Monday the 2nd. Cold temps last night and today crusted over a lot of the open water shown in this pic with about an inch of ice. But stiff south winds this afternoon opened some of it again. We need a week, not just one night, of single digit or colder temperature nights and days to heal the gashes on the big lake.

Of course, the dark areas are the open water in the pic.
