The Original 7ven — the band formerly known as the Time — will return home Nov. 5 at the State Theatre. It's the first Minneapolis appearance by this lineup since 2008 but more importantly, the show is to promote their first album since 1990 — "Condensate," which will be released Tuesday.

The Original 7ven are Morris Day, Jesse Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jellybean Johnson, Monte Moir and Jerome Benton; they could not use "the Time" because Prince owns the rights to the moniker for the group he created in 1981.

The Original 7ven are not to be confused with Morris Day & the Time, which performed at the Minnesota State Fair this year.

Tickets, priced from $49.50 to $79.50, will go on sale Wednesday at Ticketmaster and the State box office.
