The stat about the Twins' 12 consecutive playoff losses that will hurt even more

Commenter Newbie writes: Don't think it has gone unnoticed that there have been no baseball posts since last week (albeit a small sample size). If you're like me, I won't expect to see another mention of baseball until pitchers and catchers report. This one hurts. Little did he know, we were working on a killer statistic while he was sending us that e-mail.

See, it's not bad enough that the Twins have now lost 12 consecutive playoff games. No, folks, this is bad: in 7 of those games, Minnesota was either tied or ahead at some point in the seventh inning or later. In case you don't believe us:

Game 1, 2010 ALDS (tied 4-4 after 6); Game 2, 2010 ALDS (tied 2-2 after 6); Game 2, 2009 ALDS (ahead 3-1 after 8); Game 3, ALDS (ahead 1-0 after 6); Game 2, 2006 ALDS (tied 2-2 after 6); Game 2, 2004 ALDS (Tied 5-5 after 8, ahead 6-5 after top of 12th); Game 4, 2004 ALDS (ahead 5-1 after 7).
