History at Canterbury: Stevens holds Canterbury records for most thoroughbred starts (5,568) and most thoroughbred victories (857). He was the track's leading thoroughbred jockey in 1990, 1991 and 1992 and is a member of its hall of fame. He also has won 45 quarter horse races.
