The Power of Reflection

The practice of silent reflection is a powerful tool for rejuvination, self-empowerment and motivation. As you take moments today to browse through inspirational memes and youtube videos throughout the day to keep you going, remember to take some time to reflect on what you see, hear, feel and think.

We'll start off with our "highs and lows" and get into some important societal survival skills and general goings on of the TwinCities and neighboring communities with news about the rest of the world here and there. Participation is simple. Just give us your highs and lows either in the comments of the article or on twitter by trending #ProverbialWisdoms or tweeting to me @E_HowardCo.

High: Having great experiences coordinating & presenting in conferences & summits!
Low: Struggling with recognizing my own learning and using new knowledge & understanding.

***The Power of Reflection***

The practice of silent reflection is a powerful tool for rejuvination, self-empowerment and motivation. As you take moments today to browse through inspirational memes and youtube videos throughout the day to keep you going, remember to take some time to reflect on what you see, hear, feel and think. A lot of great speakers will ask powerful questions throughout thier presentations, take time to actually make an effort to answer those questions for your self. Write down your responses and perhaps even build out a quick action plan for personal development.

Here's a practice round: I picked out a few quotes that have impacted me and attached questions that we can use to reflect. Take at least five real minutes of silence to meditate and let your answers come to you and see how it effects your day.

"Every aspiration that you have can become a reality."
What is the best environment for you to thrive?

"Wherever you go, there you are."
What can you do to help youurself thrive in any environment?

"A proud man can learn humility, but he will be proud of that too."
In what ways are you keeping yourself from achieving your potential?

"You are under no obligation to be the same person you were five minutes ago."
What have you learned that you can start acting on immediately?
