A formidable contingent of the Minneapolis police took up the rear of the May Day protest march

May Day on Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis. The noise of the megaphones in front of U.S. Bank headquarters, denouncing greed and income inequality. The clip-clop of hooves on the pavement from 14 mounted police. The scent of manure wafting into sidewalk cafes. And a peaceful march that turned into a parade complete with steeds, golf carts and squads.
