FACES MEARS PARK Chef David Fhima, he of the nine professional lives, is back in his former LoTo space (the Mears Park views continue to be a draw) with a similar but enriched concept: Take-out, dine-in, bar and a small wine shop.

380 Jackson St., St. Paul, 651-209-7776, www.facesmearspark.com

ROJO MEXICAN GRILL

Traditional Mexican-American fare, made fresh and served in slick surroundings. The bar pours more than 75 varieties of tequila.

1602 West End Blvd., St. Louis Park, 952-657-5385, www.rojomexicangrill.com

PARMA 8200

The D'Amico empire turns its attention to the suburbs, jazzing up a soulless office park with a warm and stylish Italian-inspired restaurant and bar. Don't miss the tuna crudo, the watermelon salad and the hearty pork rib ragu over cavatelli.

5600 W. 83rd St., Bloomington, 952-896-8888, www.parma8200.com

TRAVAIL KITCHEN AMUSEMENTS

The close-knit, we-cook-and-we-serve crew that made Victory 44 such a pleasure has moved on to its own shop in beautiful downtown Robbinsdale, serving modern, affordably priced spins on American classics.

4154 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, 763-535-1131

TWISTED FORK GRILLE

A bona fide neighborhood cafe has sprouted inside the original home of the Green Mill, where chef Keven Kvalsten is turning out creative, moderately priced riffs on comfort foods at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

1342 Grand Av., St. Paul, 651-690-5901, www.twistedforkgrille.com
