THE HOT FIVE Get out this weekend and explore a new restaurant.

FORUM

First-time restaurateur Jim Ringo has revived the glorious Art Deco space that was the original home of the long-gone Forum Cafeteria. The menu is a parade of contemporized American classics, served at lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

40 S. 7th St., Mpls., 612-354-2017

HAUTE DISH

The former Cafe Havana is now a laboratory for chef Landon Schoenefeld's adventurous spins on Midwestern favorites. Love the late-night (to 2 a.m., Monday through Saturday, and to midnight Sunday) hours.

119 Washington Av. N., Mpls.,

RINGO

Jim Ringo's other new venture, located next to Crave in the West End Shops development, takes on a different global cuisine each month. Right now it's Seoul, South Korea. Next up: Brussels.

ROMAN ANTHONY'S

Chef Justin Grecco (of Grecco's on the St. Croix in St. Croix Falls, Wis.) has launched his first Twin Cities venture, a Tuscan-inspired restaurant emphasizing pastas and seafood and open for lunch and dinner.

TWISTED FORK GRILLE
