It is a very special time here at RandBall. Yes, it is Great Baseball Road Trip Week. That means in lieu of your regularly scheduled nonsense, you will be treated to extra special nonsense from many of America's finest cities and baseball stadiums while we explore the National Pastime and try to avoid (or find) trouble. This year's GBRT features a full-time appearance by Rocket, who will likely demand a voice at some point along the way. We will also be catching up with Ben Affleck look-alike Diddy along the way. The itinerary is among the most challenging we've ever attempted: four Class A games and four MLB games in six days. Yes, that's more games than days. How will that be accomplished, you might ask? Not one, but two multi-city day-night doubleheaders. We'll be spending our longest stretch in Beloit, watching many of the Twins' best prospects Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We'll also get a Kane County game, a Cubs game, a White Sox game and two Brewers/Twins games in Milwaukee. Blog readers in any of these locales: feel free to offer any suggestions about food, drink and attractions. Everyone else: brace yourself for non-stop baseball this week. It starts tonight with the White Sox.
