Scouting report: Johansson improved his draft status as the year progressed and was ranked No. 10 by NHL Central Scouting among European skaters. Wild GM Paul Fenton lauded Johansson for his hockey smarts. He is a smooth skater and has strong defensive instincts. The Wild has Swedish defenseman Jonas Brodin to mentor Johansson. He is expected to play in Sweden two more years.
