THE DEFINITIVE DOZEN
There are 12 markets in the U.S. that have all four major sports. How does the Twin Cities rank? On the bottom when it comes to playoff appearances since 2010, the last time a local team (the Twins) made the postseason. And of the 12 markets, only Washington and the Twin Cities have failed to win a championship in any of the four sports since 2000. The drought for both markets goes back to 1991, when the Twins won the World Series. A few months later the Redskins won the Super Bowl in the Metrodome.
