This 'Cat' has at least one more life.

The Children's Theatre's imaginative production of "Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat," which ran from Sept. 25 - Dec. 2 in Minneapolis, is headed to Canada. The company has taken shows to Tokyo, Moscow and Shanghai, not to mention Broadway. But this is the first time America's largest theater for families will have taken a production to our northern neighbor.

"As a Canadian myself, I am excited to be taking a show to my country of origin and to work with long time colleagues at MTYP," said managing director Tim Jennings.

"Cat," directed by Jason Ballweber, is slated for a Dec. 7-21 run at the Manitoba Theatre for Young People in Winnipeg. Jim Lichtscheidl is taking over the title role from Dean Holt.
