The cheapest deal on Pepsi in years ending soon!

Who would've thought that one of the fanciest supermarkets in the TC would also have the lowest price on pop.....Go figure

You have until end of the day Wednesday, March 17 to get the best deal on Pepsi 12-packs that I have ever seen. I think it's a good deal when Target sells two 12-packs for $5, but Lunds/Byerly's blows that deal outta the water by offering three 12 packs for $5. The only fine print is that you must be three, but you can buy a maximum of six.

Unlike Rainbow or Cub's pop deals, there is no $25 minimum purchase either. I went to Lunds on Sunday to pick up that rarest of Pepsi products, caffeine-free, regular Pepsi (not the diet version) and found it sold out. I was told to come back Monday, but instead I took the Lunds ad which was in my mailbox circular to Target.

I asked Target on Lake Street in Minneapolis to match the price, which they did. Anyone who has asked Target to price match an ad knows that it's always a crap shoot. I didn't expect Target to match it because Lunds ad says you must buy three. Target has sometimes refused an ad that requires a minimum. (No, I don't understand Target's logic on that.) Just to be on the safe side, I purchased three at Target. The cashier got out her calculator and charged me $1.66 each.

Let me put this in perspective. I'd much rather have readers comparison shopping their auto insurance. That can easily save $100 or more each year, but sometimes I get a kick out of small savings too. I saved about $6 on three 12-packs. Big deal? no, but I bet it's the best deal you'll see on pop for the rest of the year. The deal ends Wednesday, no coupon needed.
