The cash contest: Constitutional candidates running low-dollar campaigns

A look at the finances of the Republican and Democratic candidates for secretary of state, auditor and attorney general

The cash contest for constitutional offices other than governor continues to be a low dollar affair, according to fundraising reports released Wednesday.

The top draw for cash? DFL incumbent attorney general Lori Swanson, who brought in $300,000. That fundraising pales in comparison to the cash flowing in the governor's race.
